Introduction to Senior Years
The Senior Phase of learning at Our Lady of the Southern Cross College encompasses Years 10 to 12.
The focus of these years is to help students develop pathways for post-secondary school, whether it is further education or the job market. In conjunction with developing pathways for students, the development and understanding of the Common Curriculum Elements and the integration of Literacy, Numeracy and Information Communication Technologies within the curriculum are priorities.
- Year 10 assessment has discernible links to Years 11 and 12; by highlighting the Common Curriculum Elements and the requirements and conditions for assessment items.
- Years 11 and 12 begin and continue the process of developing skills to undertake the Queensland Core Skills Test.
