Camps and Retreats
Students at Our Lady of the Southern Cross College are offered opportunities to attend curriculum based camps, retreats, excursions and sporting events travelling on our fully commercial 61 seat coach. Our coach has extensive safety features including seatbelts with large underneath bays allowing for storage of luggage and equipment. Having a fully licensed and experienced coach driver on our staff allows for activities to be scheduled at all times throughout the year.
As we commit to growing great people, we believe that offering a high standard of well researched and affordable camps and excursions adds to the vitality of our College environment and gives students from Prep to Year 12 the experience of travelling to places where they may not have been, and to events that will inspire and educate them outside the classroom environment. The coach is also available to transport students locally to sporting events, the Dalby Aquatic Centre for swimming lessons and eisteddfod. Camp refund working
We base our planning and costings for camps, excursions, incursions and retreats on the number of students who have been granted permission to attend. While we understand that for various reasons some students may not be able to actually attend the experience, it is important to note that the majority of costs are already incurred by the College for these experiences well in advance of the experience occurring. As such, only costs that have not been incurred are able to be refunded.
