Welcome Back for Week 3

Next Monday,  we welcome back our Prep, Year 1 and Year 11 and 12 students after four weeks of Remote Learning and two weeks of Easter break. We have dedicated our recent Newsletters to our remote learners both at home and at school however we must also spare a thought for the teachers and staff who have also had to adapt to a new method of providing education.

Thanks to Ange Stirling, we have some beautiful images of some of our staff members and we thought it would be great to get their perspective on next week's recommencement of formal schooling for our Prep, Year 1 and Year 11/12 students. We asked them what they were most looking forward to about next week and their experiences being at school with only a small cohort of students.

Miss Belonogoff - "I'm really looking forward to having the Year 11 and 12's back in the classroom and having conversation with humans rather than talking to a computer screen. I have really missed the interaction with the students and I will look forward to seeing them all in class on Monday."

Mr Hodge - "It has been so quiet around the campus and I am looking forward to that buzz again."

Mrs Dellit - "While I have found the remote learning period for Year 1 challenging at times, it has shown me just how resilient and independent these young children are! I have been very excited to see their little faces on the computer screen 4 times each week but nothing beats face-to-face contact. I’m looking forward to seeing the children apply their new familiarity with technology and increase their ability to work independently inside the classroom. I would like to send my appreciation for the support that all caregivers have given to both their children and us, their teachers, as without this, the learning journey would have been more difficult."

Mrs Boland - "I'm really looking forward to seeing more kids walking by and hearing their laughter and chatter. I will look forward to seeing all those smiling faces again and getting back to a little more normality."

Mrs Walton - "I can't wait to have the Prep and Year 1's back in the classroom however I am really going to miss Zoom Show and Share which has been very exciting. It will be pretty hard to bring pigs, dogs, birds, amazing Lego creations and tractors to school in your bag."
