Inner Downs Athletics Carnival
The Inner Downs Carnival will be held on Wednesday 31 July at Oakey SHS. Students must attend this carnival to attend the Darling Downs Trials at the end of August. Travel will be via private transport. Students need to nominate for events on the Sports Notice Board.
Rugby Union
Congratulations to Lytan King Togia who has been selected in the Australian Barbarians Rugby Union Team to play against Samoa in September. Lytana selected following his performances for QLD 2 at the National Championships. Lytana was also awarded the “Dr Syd Sugerman Award” for the best team man at the Championships. Past student Mark Appleton in 2007 was recognized with the same award at the championships, Mark was also College Captain.
Rugby League
The Under 15 Rugby League Team have progressed to stage two of the GIO Cup Competition after winning the Darling Downs Final last term. The team will play the South West Region winners - St John’s Roma / Wallumbilla SHS on Wednesday 24 July at the Dalby Rugby League Grounds. Roma are also bring their Under 13 boys to play at 1.00pm with the Under 15 game being played at 2.00pm.
