Magpie season is upon us again and we expect some swooping activity from our resident magpies. There is little we can do about this unless they become so severe in their attacks that we can direct the Council to come and remove the offender. It is important for our students to observe sensible practices to avoid getting injured by a swooping magpie. These include;-

• wearing a hat
• keeping head down
• avoiding walking in areas where magpies swoop
• walking in groups
• Wear a bike helmet or have a flag on the bike when riding
• carry a stick or umbrella
• wear sunglasses to protect eyes
