College Grape Vines
Last Term, the Finch boys from Eljay Rural Contracting carried out an upgrade to the end assemblies of our grape vine trellises. Unfortunately the difficulties with Dalby's black soil had affected the original supports and the weight of all our magnificent Montepulciano grapes at the end of summer caused the posts to come up out of the ground. As we prepare for our vines to burst this spring, the pressure was on to get the end assemblies corrected and Eljay have come to the rescue doing an outstanding job. The new structures are very secure and the wires are now taut and ready to have the vines wrapped and trained so we can manage our next crop of grapes. We would like to extend a huge vote of thanks to the Finch boys from Eljay for getting this job completed.
