Darling Downs Under 9-12 Athletics Results 

Lauren Barwick – 6th in 80m and 8th in 200m

Benjamin Barwick – 2nd in Long Jump, 4th in Multi Event,

Bella Cusack, Justin Hemmings, Benjamin Barwick and Charles Sullivan were selected in the Darling Downs Team to attend the State Athletics Championships in October.

Madi Simmich – 10th in Triple Jump

Hannah Taylor – 2nd in Shot Put and 3rd in Discus  

Hannah Taylor was selected in the Darling Downs Team to attend the State Championships in October.

Multi Class Athletics

Laylah Francis attended the Darling Downs Multi Class Athletics Carnival at The Glennie School. Laylah competed in Shot Put Bocce, Track Running, High Jump, Vortex Throw, Heavy Ball Roll, and Long Jump. Congratulations Laylah – this is the first time in many years we have sent a student to this event.

OLSC Day Athletics

The final events of the College Athletics Carnival will be held next Monday afternoon as part of OLSC Day celebrations. The order of events for the afternoon is as follows:

Darling Downs 2025 Triathlon Trials

Any students who would like to attend the Darling Downs Triathlon Trials for 2025 please see Mr Lincoln for more information. Students must be 13-18 years of age.

Rugby Sevens

The Darling Downs Independent Schools Girls Sevens has concluded for 2024. Thanks to Mr Gillespie and Mr Garside for coaching our teams. These teams along with an U13 / U15 and U18 Boys Team will attend the QCIS Sevens Carnival at Downlands next Friday.

QISSN Netball / QISSRL Rugby League 2025

The 2025 QISSRL and QISSN Carnivals will be held in Rockhampton (Rugby League) and Bundaberg (Netball) in the first week of the June/ July holidays. The Rugby League Carnival is open to any boys turning 16 or older in 2025. The Netball Carnival is open to any girls in Years 9-12 in 2025. Both squads will begin training early next term. Nominations to be a part of both teams will close this week. Students need to access the form via daily notices on their laptops.
