From the Careers Desk

Welcome back to the Careers space for the 2024 academic year. There are many career education opportunities planned for the students this year including Work Experience, First Aid, Manual Handling, White Card and Espresso Barista course for year 10 students, Industry Dinner for year 9 and year 12 ATAR registration and QTAC applications in August, just to list a few. Middle Years students will also be involved with career education intensive days in term 3 and the annual Careers expo will also be held in July. Please see all the key dates that will be listed below. The Careers Office is looking forward to developing students career development and education during the year.

 

School Based Apprenticeship

Congratulations to Year 10 student, Nate Boundy for his School Based Apprenticeship with Boundy Constructions. Nate will be trained in a Certificate (III) in Carpentry and attend weekly on the job training with Boundy Constructions. We wish Nate, all the best in his chosen career.

 

Experience UniSQ Days

The University of Southern Queensland, Toowoomba Campus will be holding Experience UniSQ Days for Year 11 and 12 students who are interested in attending tertiary studies after school. These days offer students to explore their campuses, take part in specialised sessions in different study fields, and get a feel for student life at UniSQ. If you are interested in attending one of these campuses, you are required to register on the link below.
