Year 9 Science classes investigated the principles of Light and Heat Energy in Term 4. Their task was to research, design and construct an effective solar oven which integrated scientific principles of thermal energy, convection, conduction, radiation, reflection, absorption and insulation. A variety of designs were chosen and each design successfully heated water - although some better than others.
