This week the Year 7 Science classes investigated another separation technique. They used chromatography to discover who wrote the extortion note. They were given three suspects and three different black pens. A chromatogram sample was prepared and given to them to compare against their test. The students used chromatography to separate the inks in the three black pens and compare them to the sample. This helped them to confirm which suspect wrote the extortion note.
