Matthew 24:42-44 

Jesus said to his disciples, "Be on your guard! You don't know when your Lord will come. Homeowners never know when a thief is coming, and they are always on guard to keep one from breaking in. Always be ready! You don't know when the Son of Man will come." 

In the light of this new day, let us pray for the needs of the world.  

For peace in our world, we pray as one. For those who live with fear or uncertainty, we pray as one. For kindness to comfort those in distress, we pray as one. For those who have nowhere to call home, we pray as one. For the prayers in our hearts today, we pray as one. 

 
May the blessing of God go before you. 

May you grow in the grace of God’s love. 

May God’s spirit live within you, 

May God’s love wrap you round, 

May God’s blessing remain with you always, 

May you walk on holy ground.
