On Wednesday 9 March, every OLSCC student from Prep to Year 6 attended the Words Out West Readers and Writers Festival – Student Day. This is our fourth year attending this event, and it seems to just get better and better. We are extremely grateful to Western Downs Libraries and the Western Downs Regional Council for facilitating such a professional event. To be able to give our students exposure to such high calibre authors and artists right here in our home town is just amazing. A huge shout out to our School Officer Mr Florian Scheuch who not only assisted classes for the entire day, but was an extremely good sport when he was “randomly selected” to assist the presenters!
