We kick off this term with the Virtue of courage and the Character Strength of perseverance.  With only nine weeks in this term, we will need to use these attributes to find success. So we pray for  

 Oh God, enlighten my mind with truth; 

Inflame my heart with love; 

Inspire my will with courage; 

Enrich my life with service. 

Pardon what I have been; 

Sanctify what I am;  

Order what I shall be 

and be my guide and salvation. 

Amen

MJR – Making Jesus Real 

On Monday, students from Year 3-6 spent time with Mitch, from MJR – Making Jesus Real.  MJR is a way of behaving and reflecting that opens students and teachers to the presence of the ‘Spirit of Jesus’ in their lives. If you have a child in these year levels ask them to complete this sentence tonight over dinner, I saw the Spirit of Jesus when… Also ask them to explain the OK ding smile idea – it will improve your life. 

Throughout the day, Mitch led experiences with the students challenging them to find the spirit of Jesus in their lives.  Mitch encourage students and staff, in our after-school meeting, to be the best we can be through the Gospel values, a focus on attitude, leadership and self-reflection.  We were encouraged to look for the positives in our lives and to realise we have control over the choices we make each day.  We look forward to further embedding MJR in our College in 2019 and beyond.
