Year 7 Science – Biology

Year 7 science students have been discovering the world of biology. This has included how biologists classify all living things in a scientific process called taxonomy. The students have interacted with a resource kit recently borrowed from the Queensland Museum. This resource was used for students to classify and investigate Arthropods. This Phylum includes insects, arachnids, crustaceans and myriapods. The kit allowed the students a hands on experience when investigating taxonomy and a large area of the animal Kingdom.

Chelsea Scores in Driving

Year 6 student, Chelsea Butler, has just completed her first year driving in the Junior Quarter Midgets – Qld. At their recent presentation day, Chelsea was placed 3^rd overall in her age group and received a huge trophy for the Club Championship Encouragement Award. A wonderful achievement for a talented girl!
